Meals accounted for 78% of total online bookings made (7% more than February), due to time and mobility constraints, according to an EL Tenedor report.
This year too, we have experienced a typical Easter. Yet one of the traditions that has remained, and sometimes grown, is to taste the best traditional gastronomy and enjoy the good weather. In fact, restaurant bookings in Spain have grown by 30% compared to the previous month and an average ticket of around 25 euros per dinner has been recorded, very positive data for Spanish hospitality, according to a report prepared by El Tenedor.
As these figures show, consumption in the hospitality sector has grown for another year and this has also been noted in consumer expectations. If in the previous months they improvised more when booking, during this Easter they have been more forward-looking, booking 18 hours in advance on average (remember that in Easter 2019 the advance was only 5 hours). This anticipation is particularly noticeable in communities such as Galicia (+24%) or the Community of Madrid (+17%).
If we look at the consumption habits of diners, there is a growth in food time reserves, like last year. In this Easter, following the trend of recent months, meals accounted for 78% of total online bookings made (7% more compared to February)
