Buying property in Spain has never been more popular. The combination of sun, sea and beach makes Spain a very popular holiday destination. Moreover, life there is about 30% to 40% cheaper than in France and Italy. Add to this the fact that prices are a lot lower than in those countries, and you will understand why buying property in Spain is very popular.<\/p>\n

The average price per square metre depends on the region in which you buy property in Spain. Prices in the Balearic Islands (e.g. Ibiza, Mallorca) and in cities like Barcelona and Madrid are a lot higher (average of 2275 euros per square metre) than in the Canary Islands and on the Costa Blanca (average of 1200 to 1300 euros per square metre). Consequently, the latter areas are more popular.<\/p>\n

The Costa Blanca comes out on top. By the way, there is a big difference between the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol. On the Costa Blanca (from Alicante to Cartagena and Murcia), properties are cheaper and you can buy a new-build property and for less than 200,000 euros. An existing (resale) property that meets western European requirements can be purchased from 65,000,- On the Costa del Sol (Marbella et al.) it quickly rises to 420,000 euros and more.<\/p>\n

Partly due to investors’ knowledge that the corona events have led to tourists no longer wanting to stay in overcrowded hotels but wanting their own accommodation, it makes flats the most in demand. Rental yields on flats in the Costa Blanca are downright high!<\/p>\n

The Costa Blanca also offers very good opportunities for property traders. Buying in autumn\/winter when prices are lower than in summer and selling in spring is the method to achieve very good results.<\/p>\n

The “flip” (buy > renovate > sell) of real estate in the Netherlands has become very difficult because of the investment that needs to be made due to very high personnel costs (if we can even find a contractor\/contractor) as well as material costs which have risen explosively in recent years. In Spain, personnel costs as well as material costs are at a much lower price level, making the return on “flipping” exceedingly higher than in the Netherlands. There are several locations where very good cash flow thanks to short-term profit generation with property flipping is possible on the Costa Blanca and the Costa Calida.<\/p>\n
